This summer, Art and Soul offers  Art Day Camp Monday to Friday

 
5-10 years: Morning Session
9:00am - 12:00pm*
 
9-16 years: Afternoon Session
1:00pm - 4:00pm
 

Each week of camp revolves around a specific artistic theme which we will
explore with your child.
Our programs have been designed to be age and ability appropriate for each session.

Your child will create at least one beautiful artwork each day with an
Art Exhibition every Friday!

Color & Texture like Vincent Van Gogh

Week One: June 7th – June 11th 

Meet Vincent! This week we will explore the expressive style of Vincent Van Gogh. For the little ones, this week is full of amusing projects inspired by vibrant colors and swirly whirly textures with crayon, paint, puff paint, glue and whatever else we can find at the studio! 
The teens will be introduced to easy portrait, landscape and still life techniques using oil pastel, paint, paint pens, charcoal, and Micron drawing pens.  On Friday, each group will finish up all or their pieces will curate their own Art and Soul Gallery Opening on Friday where they display their art from the week!

Cartooning, Animals and Walt Disney Discovery!

Week Two: 
June 14th – June 18th

This week children will explore the wonderful world of cartooning! Camp will focus on technique to create characters and landscape in cartoon style using a variety of media.     

The week will end once again with a Gallery Opening to present their beautiful work.

Three Dimensional Sculpture and Ceramics like Pablo Picasso
Week Three: June 21st – June 25th

​Picasso is so inspiring and we have another chalk full week planned! Do your little ones love play dough? Then they will love getting their hands dirty in some clay, plaster of Paris and papier mache!  
The teens will explore sculpture, mask making, and various mixed media exposing them to many new materials and ideas.  You will be amazed by what they've created at the Friday Gallery Opening!

Pop Art Strawberry Prints

Print Making & Pop Art like Andy Warhol
Week Four: June 28th – July 2nd

Now let's go to New York City circa 1979. The Children get to become a part of Andy Warhol's legendary Factory! We will venture into the world of printmaking, graffiti and Pop Art using just about anything we can think of including potato stamps and Styrofoam mono prints and gelatin prints.
​
The teens will learn more advanced printmaking techniques such as  linoleum, silkscreen, ink jet transfers spray paint stencils and more.   They will love their 15 minutes of fame at the end of the week at the art collaborative Gallery Opening!

Week Six:
 July 12th - July 16th

For the little ones, this week is full of  cutting, gluing and fun multi media art projects. 
The teens will explore art through texture using decoupage, and bold contemporary content layered projects such as newspaper, music notes, flowers and more. 
​Friday, each group will finish up all or their pieces will curate their own Art and Soul Gallery Opening on Friday where they display their art from the week!

​Splatter, Pour & Pendulum ​like Jackson Pollack
Week Seven: 
​July 19th - July 24th

This weeks projects are full of fun projects using paint splatter and pour techniques.  What's pendulum painting? book this session to find out!
Kids of all ages will get ready to make a mess on canvas while using non traditional techniques that are fun fun fun!

On Friday, each group will finish up all or their pieces will curate their own Art and Soul Gallery Opening on Friday where they display their art from the week.

Anime and Manga Drawing Techniques
Week Eight:
 July 26th - July 30th

This week the campers will learn about anime techniques and drawing styles.  They will then  work together using the new techniques in a group project creating on one large anime mural. 

On Friday, each group will finish up all of their pieces, and will curate their own Art and Soul Gallery Opening on Friday where they display their art from the week!
